Bollywood actor Rajkummar Rao has found himself at the center of an online controversy after a now-deleted Instagram comment reignited debate over his participation in the promotional song "Modi Hai To Mumkin Hai." The discussion began after the actor expressed support for students protesting against the alleged NEET examination paper leak in Delhi.
In the comments section of his post, a social media user questioned why Rao had previously appeared in the political promotional song, accusing him of compromising his principles. The user claimed to have admired the actor but felt disappointed by his involvement in the campaign, suggesting that he had "sold himself" despite being regarded as one of the industry's respected performers.
Rajkummar responded with a lengthy message before later deleting it. Screenshots of the comment quickly circulated across social media platforms. In his reply, the actor wrote that he could never "sell his soul" and argued that a single song could not define his beliefs, values or the causes he supports. He also stated that others could never understand the "pressure" he had faced and emphasized that he has always stood for what he believes is right while valuing unity among people.
The phrase "you can never understand the pressure" has since become the focus of widespread speculation. Many social media users interpreted it as a reference to his participation in the promotional song. However, Rajkummar did not explicitly explain what kind of pressure he meant, nor did he claim that he had been forced or compelled to take part in the project.
