Sanjiv Goenka Meets Chief Minister To Boost Bengal Investment And Industrial Growth

Industrial development and fresh investment opportunities in West Bengal took center stage as industrialist Sanjiv Goenka met Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari at the state secretariat. The meeting focused on strategies to strengthen Bengal's position as a preferred investment destination in India and globally while encouraging greater participation from the private sector.

According to officials, the discussions covered ways to attract new industries, improve the business ecosystem, and generate large-scale employment across the state. Both sides explored opportunities in emerging sectors and emphasized the importance of creating an investor-friendly environment supported by modern infrastructure and efficient governance.

Sanjiv Goenka highlighted his group's long association with Bengal, noting its contribution to the state's industrial and economic progress over the past two centuries. He expressed confidence in the state's growth potential and reaffirmed the group's commitment to participating in future development initiatives. The meeting also reviewed ongoing projects and explored possibilities for expanding investments in the region.

The Chief Minister reiterated the government's focus on accelerating industrialisation through policy support, infrastructure development, and faster project implementation. He stressed that increased private investment would play a crucial role in creating employment opportunities and strengthening the state's economy.

Officials described the meeting as a constructive step toward deeper collaboration between the government and industry. With investment promotion remaining a key priority, the state administration aims to attract more domestic and global businesses while supporting existing industries in expanding their operations.

The interaction reflects the government's broader vision of transforming West Bengal into a competitive manufacturing and investment hub, driven by public-private partnerships, sustainable growth, and long-term economic development.
