RSS Education Front Launches Statewide Campaign Countering Left Led NEET Protests Nationwide

RSS Education Front Launches Statewide Campaign Countering Left Led NEET Protests Nationwide

The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and its education-affiliated organisations have announced a statewide campaign in West Bengal to counter ongoing protests over the alleged NEET examination paper leak. Under the banner of Shiksha Sanskriti Suraksha Manch, several RSS-linked bodies, including the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), Akhil Bharatiya Rashtriya Shaikshik Mahasangh (ABRSM), Bharatiya Shikshan Mandal (BSM), and Vidya Bharati, are set to hold rallies, public meetings, and awareness programmes across multiple districts beginning Friday.

The move comes amid continued demonstrations by Left-backed student organisations and the Cockroach Janata Party, which continue demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan despite activist Sonam Wangchuk withdrawing his hunger strike following assurances from the Central Government.

RSS leaders have alleged that Left organisations are attempting to exploit the NEET controversy to spread confusion and unrest across the country. According to them, what began as a student-led movement has now been influenced by political groups with broader ideological objectives. They argue that the government's decision to conduct a re-examination and declare results promptly ensured that students did not lose an academic year.

Programmes have been scheduled in Raiganj, Jhargram, Bankura, North 24 Parganas, Jalpaiguri, and Paschim Bardhaman, with plans also underway for a major rally in Kolkata in the coming days.

Representatives of the participating organisations said their campaign aims to promote constructive dialogue, oppose violence, and highlight what they describe as misinformation surrounding the NEET issue. They maintain that educational reforms should be pursued through democratic engagement rather than prolonged agitation or politically motivated protests.
