Actor Prabhas has surprised fans with the teaser of his upcoming film Fauzi, released on October 23 to mark his 47th birthday. The 2-minute-31-second video offers a glimpse of a period action drama set against the backdrop of India’s freedom struggle. It has quickly attracted attention across social media.
The teaser opens in Berlin during the Second World War, showing a meeting between Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose and German dictator Adolf Hitler. In the film’s version of the conversation, Hitler appears dismissive of India’s freedom struggle. Netaji responds with determination, making it clear that India’s independence will not depend on German support.
The story then introduces Prabhas as a secret Indian spy linked to Netaji’s mission. His character, called Fauzi, is presented as a fearless soldier working against British rule. The teaser features military settings, gunfire and intense action scenes, suggesting a story built around espionage, sacrifice and resistance.
The film combines a real historical meeting with fictional dialogue and an imagined spy character. Its portrayal of the freedom struggle has therefore attracted attention, while the scale of the action and Prabhas’ rugged appearance have added to fan excitement.
Directed by Hanu Raghavapudi, Fauzi is produced by Mythri Movie Makers and presented by T-Series Films. The makers have announced a theatrical release date of March 19, 2027.
After the teaser appeared on YouTube, clips and reactions spread across X, Instagram and Facebook. Fans are discussing Prabhas’ new look, the Netaji-Hitler sequence and the film’s patriotic theme. The teaser has offered an early look at one of the actor’s upcoming big-screen projects.
