BJP MP and actress Kangana Ranaut has become the latest parliamentarian to attract attention over her luxury accessories. During the ongoing Monsoon Session of the Lok Sabha, her handbag, watch and even umbrella became subjects of discussion on social media.
Ranaut appeared in Parliament wearing a light blue Eri silk saree from Northeast India, paired with a white blouse. She kept her jewellery minimal, wearing only earrings and a ring, creating an understated yet elegant appearance. However, her accessories quickly became the centre of attention.
According to reports, Ranaut carried a Hermès Birkin handbag estimated to be worth around Rs 35 lakh. The structured bag reportedly features a black handle and gold-toned detailing, adding to its distinctive appearance.
Her wristwatch also attracted considerable attention. She was reportedly wearing a Rolex watch valued at approximately Rs 21 lakh. The combination of the expensive handbag and luxury watch led to renewed online discussions about high-end fashion among politicians.
Ranaut’s umbrella also caught the attention of fashion watchers. The aqua-coloured umbrella, reportedly from Good Earth, is said to cost around Rs 6,100. It featured a tropical-inspired print on the outer surface, a graphic chevron pattern inside and a wooden handle. Its colour complemented her saree.
Luxury accessories carried by politicians have often generated public debate. Trinamool Congress MP Mahua Moitra previously faced attention over her expensive Louis Vuitton handbag during a parliamentary discussion on inflation.
Ranaut’s latest Parliament appearance has similarly sparked conversations online, combining political visibility with celebrity fashion and luxury branding.
