YouTuber Dhruv Rathee has alleged that he was kidnapped after being released early Sunday morning, adding a new twist to the controversy surrounding the detention of leaders associated with the CJP protest in Delhi. His statement has triggered a fresh hashtag battle on social media, with the issue spreading across X, Instagram and YouTube.
According to the information provided, Rathee was taken from his home in Gurugram on Saturday morning and released at around 3 am on Sunday. After his release, he posted a video on X explaining his experience.
In the video, Rathee stated, “I was not arrested or detained, I was KIDNAPPED.” He alleged that his mother was pushed and that he was dragged out of his bedroom. These are Rathee’s allegations, and independent confirmation of the claims was not immediately available.
Meanwhile, three CJP leaders — Abhijit Dipke, Saurabh Das and Ashutosh Ranka — were also released, reportedly on the condition that they maintain peace for one year.
The controversy has now moved beyond the initial detentions, with Rathee’s video drawing widespread attention online. Supporters and critics are using competing hashtags, turning the incident into a heated social media debate.
As reactions continue to grow, questions surrounding the alleged incident and the circumstances of the releases remain central to the developing story.
