BJP Plans Month-Long Bengal Outreach Ahead Of PM Modi Birthday

The West Bengal BJP is planning a month-long “Seva Sankalp Abhiyan” around Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday, combining household outreach, youth programmes, welfare camps and public events.

The BJP in West Bengal is preparing a month-long public outreach campaign around Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday on September 17, with programmes focused on welfare, youth engagement and grassroots mobilisation.

The campaign, titled “Seva Sankalp Abhiyan”, will run through September and October. Party workers and affiliated organisations will visit households, interact with college and university students, and highlight the achievements of the BJP-led governments at the Centre and in the state.

A major feature of the campaign will be the “Ashirwad Ka Diya” initiative. BJP workers at every booth are expected to invite beneficiaries of government schemes to light lamps on September 17. The party says the lamps will symbolise gratitude for Modi’s 25 years of public service and a collective commitment towards the goal of “Viksit Bharat 2047”. A video campaign, theme song and short documentary will also be used to promote the initiative.

The BJP plans to organise drawing and speech competitions at schools and educational institutions, along with street plays highlighting Modi’s welfare programmes and development agenda. Community halls and crowded public spaces will host several of these events.

At the assembly constituency level, “Seva Setu” camps will help eligible citizens register for various government welfare schemes.

The programme will also include marches, motorcycle rallies, health check-up camps and blood donation drives. Special activities involving Anganwadi workers are also being planned.

State BJP general secretary Locket Chatterjee has been entrusted with overseeing the campaign, which the party hopes will strengthen its grassroots connect and youth outreach.
