The Bharatiya Janata Party-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) secured a landslide victory in the Assam Assembly elections, winning 102 out of 126 seats and returning to power for a third consecutive term. The BJP alone won 82 seats, while its allies Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) and Bodoland People's Front (BPF) secured 10 seats each.

Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma called the mandate historic, crediting Narendra Modi and Amit Shah for Assam’s development since 2016. He also added, "Post-2016, Assam's image has completely changed both inside and outside the state. Assam is now being considered a development-orientated state because of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Amit Shah,". He attributed the victory to broad public support across communities.

In contrast, the opposition suffered major setbacks, with Gaurav Gogoi losing the Jorhat seat to BJP’s Hitendra Nath Goswami, and Lurinjyoti Gogoi also defeated.
