The Election Commission of India has officially announced the schedule for the 2026 West Bengal Legislative Assembly election. According to the commission, polling for all 294 Assembly constituencies in West Bengal will take place in two phases.
The first phase of voting will be held on April 23, while the second phase will take place on April 29. After the completion of the voting process, the counting of votes will be conducted on May 4, when the final results will be declared.
The upcoming election is expected to be a crucial political battle as major parties prepare for an intense campaign across the state. Election authorities have said that adequate security arrangements will be put in place to ensure free, fair, and peaceful polling.
